⚡ A Look At GPT-5 & How To Boost Your Mood In Just 5-Minutes

Published 9 months ago • 3 min read

👋 Welcome to the 923 NEW readers this week.

Hey Folks,

I get lots of emails (like thousands) everyday from AI tools, startups, large companies and solopreneurs asking if I can give feedback on their product, newsletter or course and/or promote it.

To that end we're opening up some newsletter sponsor slots for Thursday Thunder for people to promote tools, blogs and anything that's helpful and relevant and geared towards AI, productivity and learning.

All of my content is just for fun while I'm building my own $100M portfolio of companies in the AI education space like Virti but hopefully this helps people get eyes on some awesome tools while making things as simple as possible.

With that said it's been another crazy week for learning, productivity and AI. So let's dive right in.

🏔️Quote of the Week

“Develop success from failures. Discouragement and failure are two of the surest stepping stones to success.”
— Dale Carnegie

✍️ Today's Prompt - Business Video Marketing Framework

"I'm looking for a video idea that will share the story behind the creation of my [product/service] and how it came to be, to provide my [ideal customer persona] with a personal connection to my brand."

📚 Something For Sharing

1. Inworld becomes the best-funded startup in AI x Gaming

I love Inworld and my company Virti have been one of their partners for a little while, testing out their new features and looking at how conversational AI can transform training. I'm stoked that the team have raised a new round at $500M valuation for AI game characters. Inworld is definitely worth checking out.

2. Daily 5-minute breathwork and mindfulness meditation improve mood and reduce anxiety

Andrew Huberman's team published this insightful piece of research in the Cell Reports medicine Journal earlier this year. I'm a huge fan of mindfulness and breath-work for optimizing productivity and focus. This latest research highlights that just 5-minutes of mindful breathing can boost your mood and reduce anxiety.

3. Meta announces AudioCraft: Generative AI for audio made simple and available to all

Meta have continued their Open Source push by releasing updates to their Ai audio tools that generate high-quality, realistic audio and music from text-based user inputs.

The AudioCraft family of models is capable of producing high-quality audio with long-term consistency, and it can be easily interacted with through a natural interface.

4. Paul Graham's Guide For Great Work

I love reading Y-Combinator founder Paul Graham's essays. They are insightful and well-researched. His latest looks at commonalities amongst techniques for doing great work across multiple fields.

5. OpenAI files patents for GPT-5

In news that should shock no-one OpenAI have filed patents for the technology behind their next model GPT-5. We don't know when it will be coming but from the patent filing it looks like they may be including features that allow for local installations.

6. ChatGPT removes web scraping plugins and adds quick prompt suggestions

ChatGPT previously removed its own Browse plugin that enabled links to be searched from within ChatGPT. It now looks like it has extended this removal to third party plugins too while it considers copyright and data protection issues. On the plus side they have added in some shortcut buttons to help speed up your prompt engineering.
