⚡ The $900,000 AI Job Is Here & Why 10X Is Easier Than 2X

Published 9 months ago • 2 min read

👋 Welcome to the 1,043 NEW readers this week.

Hey Folks,

The $900,000 AI job is here according to the Wall Street Journal and there has never been a better time to learn prompt engineering. On the back of my video on bulk creating content to save time using GPT and Sheets, this week I've been researching the power of doing less to achieve more and I'm excited to bring you some interesting research on why dreaming big and taking breaks can make you more productive.

With that said it's been another crazy week for learning, productivity and AI. So let's dive right in.

🏔️Quote of the Week

“Either you run the day or the day runs you.” — Jim Rohn

✍️ Today's Prompt - SEO Optimization

"Act as an SEO professional, generate a blog post outline that provides actionable tips and best practices for optimizing on-page SEO factors related to keyword [X], targeting website owners and marketers with a practical and informative tone and a desired length of 1500-2000 words."

📚 Something For Sharing

1. The $900,000 AI Job Is Here

A few weeks ago, Netflix posted a job paying out total comp as high as $900,000 to hire AI talent. Other major employers like Hinge, Walmart, Goldman Sachs, and Amazon are also recruiting AI experts with salaries reaching $250,000 or more.

Prompt engineering jobs are averaging at around $130,000 total comp.

There is an interesting chart in this WSJ report is how even after explosive growth in AI job posting, it is just 400 jobs per million. Unpaywalled version here.

2. The Power of Taking Breaks - A Microsoft Study

I've been diving into the research for an upcoming article on the power of being rested to boost productivity and I can across this 2021 study from Microsoft.

People who were given a 10-minute break between Zoom meetings experienced:

  • Less cumulative stress
  • Higher levels of focus
  • Fewer spikes in stress

This not only applies to Zoom meetings, but any work in general.

3. Amazon's AI Will Summarize Customer Reviews

Amazon's new AI-generated review highlights feature key product insights and allow customers to more easily surface reviews that mention certain product attributes.

For example, a customer looking to understand whether a product is easy to use can easily surface reviews mentioning “ease of use” by tapping on that product attribute under the review highlights.

4. Voiceflow Raises $15M To Build Collaborative AI Agents

Voiceflow enables teams to build AI agents to boost their productivity. Together with the raise they also showed off their GPT-powered AI Builder which makes it easy to create a knowledge-base from your existing content that your team and customers can chat with.

5. 10X is Easier Than 2X

I’ve been enjoying reading Ben Hardy & Dan Sullivan’s book 10x is Easier than 2x: How World-Class Entrepreneurs Achieve More by Doing Less.

Tl;dR: If you set a really audacious 10x goal, that’ll be more interesting, more valuable and counterintuitively, easier to work towards, than a simple, boring linear 2x goal. So dream big and execute.
